Happy Earth Day all!
So my guest for tomorrow had to cancel last minute- which is a drag. But these things happen. I was hoping to talk with the campus' Islam group about what they are doing, plus address some of the stereotypes that people associate with Islam as our media portrays people who follow that religion as radical extremists bent on terror. It is like saying that all Christians belong to the Fred Phelps' church.
In the meantime, I would like to promote Dr. Shirin Ebadi, as she is coming to lecture tomorrow on human rights conflicts in Iran. I only found out today that she was coming. I tried to see if I could arrange for her to come on tomorrow, but she is on a very tight schedule and was not available. However, please check her out if you get a chance!
